Kia Carens Clavis EV Gets New HTX E, HTX E [ER] Trims
Kia India has expanded its Kia Carens Clavis EV portfolio by adding two new trims: HTX E and HTX E [ER], aiming to fill gaps in the mid-spec segment and offer more choices to buyers.
These variants are priced at:

-
HTX E [ER] (Extended Range): ₹ 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom)

🛋 Features & Equipment
The HTX E / HTX E [ER] trims bridge the feature gap between HTK+ and HTX, offering a richer spec set without going to top trim levels.
Key enhancements include:
-
Panoramic sunroof (dual-pane)
-
LED lamps in all three rows (front, middle & rear)
-
Auto up/down windows for all windows
-
ECM (electrochromic) IRVM (auto-dimming rear view mirror)
-
Wireless charger for mobile devices
-
Two-tone steering wheel with tilt + telescopic adjust
-
Leatherette seats, back-of-seat folding tray table, air purifier, mood lighting + multi-colour ambient & footwell lamps, solar glass, etc.
These upgrades make the HTX E variants more comfortable and feature-rich compared to entry trims.
💡 Positioning & Strategy
With these trims, Kia is trying to capture buyers who want a balance of premium features and affordability. The HTX E slots between HTK+ and HTX, giving a middle ground.
The strategy likely is:
-
Reduce the feature “jump” from HTK+ → HTX by offering HTX E
-
Give more flexibility in choice (battery, features) without making buyers go to extreme top trims
-
Strengthen mid-spec appeal in a competitive EV market
✅ Final Thoughts
The introduction of HTX E and HTX E [ER] trims into the Kia Carens Clavis EV lineup adds meaningful choice for buyers. They bring better features and variant flexibility without forcing a jump to the highest trims.
